A total of 13 members of a Chinese expedition team reached the summit of Mount Qomolangma, the world's highest peak at a height of 8,848.86 meters, on Wednesday. At the summit, the squad measured the thickness of ice and snow using high-accuracy radar for the first time and collected samples for further research.

5月4日，13名中国科考队员成功登顶珠峰，珠峰海拔8848.86米，是世界最高峰。在登顶后，科考队员首次使用高精度雷达测量了峰顶冰雪厚度，并采集样本，用于进一步研究。
