Lookred star sparkling on the national flag. Listen, the red star dancing to passionate melodies. And attention, red star that we perceive every day. So what is red star about

As Chinese, we put so many connotations on this image. Let's travel back to one hundred years ago, legions of Chinese from all walks of life joined the army to fight for Chinese revolutions to save China from that horrible past when the masses had no means to live, from which red star spirit had been woven into the national flag. I regard it as a representative of China's spirit. A spirit that has carried the Red Army across the grassa spirit that has helped the martyrs persist in the revolution, a spirit that has always existed in Chinese people’s minds.

Now I want to share a story of my grandfather, who used to be a soldier of the movement of Resisting the US and aiding North Korea. My grandfather’s name is Huang Wanting. In 1950, the troop that my grandfather was in crossed the Yalu River and arrived at North Korea. During the whole day enemy planes bombed everywhere and my grandfather had to hide in the woods with his teammates. As dusk fell, the enemy lights would come one after another, and if volunteers were spotted, machine guns would rain down. My grandpa's unit received the task of defending a small hill in kawaguchi. My grandpa has held out there for totally three days and nights. And one day, enemies’ tanks were advancing to hit them. In order to protect the camp, my grandpa’s monitor had to hide in the shadow of their teammates, pulled out a bomb from the right, and exerted all his strength to threw it towards the enemy. What was going onThe enemies’ progress was hampered, but the monitor sacrificed. Up to now, the gory image still haunts my grandfather. Each time we mentioned this topic, my grandfather couldn’t be more excited and tears glowed in his cloudy eyes as he talked deep about those emotional moments. He always told me that: Life is the most precious, and life outweighs every difficulty. However, in that period, it was him who risked his life that was regarded as the most precious thing to fight for China’s future. And I regard it as the red star spirit.

My grandpa’s words have stuck in my mind. Facing any problems, I told myselfFear notYour grandpa was even not afraid when he risked his life to fight for the future. These problems which you regard intractable are nothing.

One hundred years agoI was still some stardust floating in the universe. However, now, I bath in the glimmering starlight of those who fell down, bath in the flourishing age. The flaming torch with red star spirit has been passed through hundred years to our generation. So, fear not, my friends! Fear not, my comrades! Fear not, all! Take this flaming torch of our generation.

The stories of red star never endand we are all the story makers. And nowthe pen is passed to you, would you
